WHAT TO EXPECT
Thank you for considering acupuncture as your means to better health! Your first session will be at least 90 minutes (and may be up to 2 hours) to discuss everything you’re experiencing. We will discuss what your primary concern is and what can be done. Please wear comfortable loose fitting clothing like shorts and a T-Shirt. We will discuss your health history and chat a bit about what types of modalities might serve you best before we start the acupuncture treatment. I will administer your acupuncture then I will leave you to relax in a nice quiet room for about ten minutes; I will check on you to make sure you are still comfortable before letting you relax for about ten more minutes. Some needle protocols require a 30 minute needle retention time. When your session is over, I will remove your needles and discuss whether we will add herbs, essential oils, elixirs, diet or lifestyle changes to implement before the next weeks session.

FOLLOW UP SESSIONS
Follow up sessions are JUST AS IMPORTANT as your first session! Acupuncture sessions can never be administered too close together but they can be done too far apart. Treatments must be done weekly at first to ensure you are on your healing path. We want a forward movement of symptoms improving before we can back off to bimonthly or monthly sessions. If you miss a session before your symptoms have been able to truly improve then you may risk a pendulum swing of symptoms getting better then returning because the sessions were not performed on time to keep the brain sending those healing messages to the body. In China treatments are actually done daily for ten days as one course of treatment, a break was taken and then treatments are repeated for ten days and so on until the issue resolves. Here in the States, we do weekly sessions and use all adjunct therapies to facilitate your healing faster! Follow Up sessions $70
NEEDLE PHOBIC? NO PROBLEM!
If you have a pediatric patient or are just afraid of needles, no worries. We can still get you an effective treatment using a laser. Seriously. We can ensure you still get your acupuncture with laser technology.
HERBAL CONSULT ONLY
If you are interested in herbs only, we can do a phone consultation to determine which herb formula (and form) is best for you. Herbs will be ordered tailored to you, that address your unique pattern. We will decide on capsules, tea or an already patented tablet form. The dispensary will send you a confirmation email/ payment link and mail your formula directly to you.
